Tieraona Low Dog, M.D.

Tieraona Low Dog, M.D.’s exploration of natural medicine began more than 35 years ago as she studied midwifery, herbal medicine; massage therapy and martial arts before earning her medical degree from the University of New Mexico School of Medicine. An internationally recognized expert in the fields of integrative medicine, dietary supplements and women’s health, Dr. Low Dog was appointed by President Bill Clinton to the White House Commission on Complementary and Alternative Medicine Policy, served as the elected Chair of the US Pharmacopeia Dietary Supplements and Botanicals Expert Information Panel, and was appointed to the Scientific Advisory Council for the National Center for Complementary and Alternative Medicine.

She has been an invited speaker to more than 550 scientific/medical conferences, published 40 peer-reviewed articles, written 22 chapters for medical textbooks, and has authored five books, including three National Geographic books, Fortify Your Life, Healthy at Home and Life is Your Best Medicine. She has appeared on CNN, ABC’s 20/20, and is a frequent guest on the Dr. Oz show and NPR’s The People’s Pharmacy. She currently serves as the Fellowship Director for the Academy of Integrative Health and Medicine.

Dr Donielle Wilson, ND, CPM, CNS

D.WilsonDr. Donielle (Doni) Wilson is a nationally celebrated naturopathic doctor who teaches women, men and children how to make life-changing differences to improve their health using natural approaches. Her expertise is helping patients with health concerns such as gluten sensitivity, adrenal function, neurotransmitters, hormone balance, digestion, and immune system functionality.

She is a Bastyr University and is a naturopathic doctor, certified professional midwife, and certified nutrition specialist, who is frequently called upon to discuss her approaches and her research related to stress in the media, as well as at both public and professional events. She was awarded the New York Association of Naturopathic Doctors (NYANP) Naturopathic Doctor of the Year award and is well-respected in her field for serving as the President and Executive Director of the NYANP for ten years.  She continues to play an instrumental role, leading the effort to license naturopathic medicine in New York State. Dr. Doni, who is also a single mom, is no stranger to stress, and attributes her good health to mastering how to support the body, by applying science, with food, exercise, sleep and stress remedies.

Deanna Minich, PhD

Deanna Headshot photoDr. Deanna Minich is a functional nutritionist with a unique approach to clinical medicine that combines physiology and psychology. She has trained in functional medicine for the past decade with the “father of functional medicine,” Dr. Jeffrey Bland, as her mentor, and has served on the Nutrition Advisory Board, curriculum committee, and is Faculty for the Institute of Functional Medicine.

Her academic background is in nutritional science, including a Master’s Degree in Human Nutrition and Dietetics from the University of Illinois at Chicago (1995), and a Ph.D. in Medical Sciences (Nutrition) from the University of Groningen in The Netherlands (1999). In conjunction with her academic degrees and extensive teaching experience at the university level, she is both a Fellow (F.A.C.N.) and a Certified Nutrition Specialist (C.N.S.) through the American College of Nutrition. Dr. Minich has over ten years of experience working in both the food and dietary supplement industries.

She is the host and founder of The Detox Summit (thedetoxsummit.com), an online event featuring 30 experts on detox, which was attended by almost 70K people worldwide. Following The Detox Summit, she led 3000 people through The Detox Challenge, a 21-day, online, functional medicine-oriented detoxification program. She continues to do more with the topic of detox, including writing a book on this important topic. In addition, she is a Board member for the American College of Nutrition, and adjunct faculty at the University of Western States, and author of five books on nutrition, wellness, and psychology.


Erin Stokes, ND

erin-webL.R.Erin’s personal mission is to empower people with the inspiration and tools to change their lives. She received her Naturopathic Doctor degree from Bastyr University in 2001. Shortly afterwards she began to pursue her passion for educating others by teaching Western Pathology and Psychology of Healing at Southwest Acupuncture College in Boulder, Colorado. Erin combines her experience as a Naturopathic Doctor with an extensive background in the natural retail industry. Most recently she worked as a Lead Practitioner at Pharmaca Integrative Pharmacy for 6.5 years. The focus of Erin’s Naturopathic practice in Boulder, Colorado is on healthy Moms. She believes, “When Moms are healthy, the world can be healthy.”

Matt Hand, DO

Matt Hand250x 250Dr Hand graduated from Chicago College of Osteopathic Medicine in 1989. He did his pediatric residency and chief residency at Maine Medical Center. Dr Hand then completed his fellowship in pediatric nephrology at Children’s Hospital in Boston. Subsequently he developed the pediatric nephrology division at the Barbara Bush Children’s hospital at Maine Medical Center. In 2008 he graduated from Dr Andrew Weil’s fellowship in Integrative Medicine at the University of Arizona and created the pediatric integrative medicine division at Maine Medical Center. In 2011 Dr Hand was hired by New Hampshire’s Hospital for Children  at the Elliot Hospital to develop the pediatric nephrology division  and to create a children’s hospital with integrative medicine as its cornerstone.  He has been featured in a number of international television shows including 20/20, the Discovery Channel and the Oprah Winfrey Show.
