Adaptogens: A New Perspective on Weight Management

Overweight-ManI was talking with a group of practitioners on a webinar recently discussing a myriad of physiological changes that happen to many men and women in their 40’s and 50’s. One of the physiological changes that people in this age group commonly report is gaining abdominal weight that cannot be explained by any alteration in diet or exercise. In fact, patients often report they’ve already tried exercising more and eating less to attempt to prevent the weight gain. They tell me that something has fundamentally shifted, and their metabolism has just “slowed down.”
